In-game description[]
This description is taken from the PAL version of the original Gran Turismo:
Launched in 1995 the sixth generation Civic has a choice of two bodies, the 3-door hatchback (Civic) and the 4-door saloon (Civic Ferio). The new Miracle Civic, in its use of three different VTEC engines and Honda's Multi Matic transmission system, places emphasis on environmental friendliness. Nonetheless there are also sports models with VTEC engines in the new line-up, the 3-door Civic SiR-II[1] and the 4-door Ferio Si-II.[2] They are both fitted with 1.6-litre inline 4-cylinder DOHC B16A engines that generate 170 PS / 7800 rpm and 16.0 kgm / 7300 rpm, amounting to more than 100 PS per litre. Transmission is either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The engine feels particularly good in the high range. It handles easily with no unexpected movements, and it can take corners fast. High-level driving is possible without any further fine-tuning.
