The thumbnail for the unused CIVIC TYPE R Tuned Car

  • A thumbnail for an unused Honda CIVIC TYPE R Tuned Car can be found inside the game files of Gran Turismo 5. The car, which is almost identical to this car except for the absence of a driver number, was likely used during the early stages of development, before being reworked into a racing modification in the final game.
  • The default wheels installed on the car appears to be based on the Enkei JS+M.
  • At Cr. 110,000 (excluding the initial 19,980 Credits for the car), it is one of the cheapest racing modifications in GT5.
  • In GT7, it is treated as a Professionally Tuned model, just like the Mazda Roadster Touring Car.
    • However, unlike that car, it is sold from the Used Car Dealership, as the game still acknowledges the car's model year despite it being removed from the car's name.
