In-game description[]

This description is taken from the PAL version of the original Gran Turismo:

This third generation CR-X[1] from 1992, is a fashionable convertible 2-seater with a choice of engines. Either a 1.5-litre inline 4-cylinder SOHC D15B that develops 130 PS / 6800 rpm and 14.1 kgm[2] / 5200 rpm, or a B16A that produces 170 PS / 7800 rpm (150 PS for the automatic version) and 16.0 kgm / 7300 rpm, both VTEC engines. Transmission is 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Suspension is 4-wheel double-wishbone. Brakes are discs for front wheels on all cars, while rear-wheel brakes use drums on D15B cars and discs on B16A cars. In 1995 the VXi was given a new 1.6-litre inline 4-cylinder SOHC D16A engine with 130 PS / 6600 rpm, 14.9 kgm / 5500 rpm[3] and became the VGi. It gives a sporty drive, but the open top leaves the car slightly hamstrung for aggressive driving.
