The thumbnail for the unused CIVIC TYPE R Tuned Car
- A thumbnail for an unused Honda CIVIC TYPE R Tuned Car can be found inside the game files of Gran Turismo 5. The car, which is almost identical to this car except for the absence of a driver number, was likely used during the early stages of development, before being reworked into a racing modification in the final game.
- The default wheels installed appears to be based on the Enkei JS+M.
- At Cr. 110,000 (excluding the initial 19,980 Credits), it is one of the cheapest racing modifications in GT5.
- In GT7, it is treated as a Professionally Tuned model, just like the Mazda Roadster Touring Car.
- However, unlike that car, it is sold from the Used Car Dealership, as the game still acknowledges its model year despite it being removed from the name.
