The Honda NSX-R LM GT2 '95 (Acura NSX-R LM GT2 '95 in the NTSC version of the game) is a race car produced by Honda. It is based on the Le Mans racer which competed in, and won, the GT2 class of the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours. The #84 car, driven by the all-Japanese team of Keiichi Tsuchiya, Akira Iida and Kunimitsu Takahashi, appears only in the PAL and NTSC-U versions of the original Gran Turismo. The NTSC-J version features the Honda NSX-R GT1 Turbo '95 instead.
There are two color schemes available for this car:
This car can be purchased in the special section of the Honda/Acura dealership for 500,000 Credits. In the NTSC-U version, there are Acura badges on the car, while in the PAL version, they are Honda badges.
- Originally this car was planned to appear in Gran Turismo 2 as the race modification of the Acura NSX '93. In the final version of the game however, racing modifications can't be applied to that car. The LM GT2 still remains in the game files, but is only accessible with a cheat device.
- In the Japanese version of the game, the standard white/gray racing livery is used instead, but the NSX-R LM GT2 livery replaces it in the PlayStation the Best version of the game.
