The Honda NSX Concept '13 is a concept car made by Honda. It only appears in Gran Turismo 6.

In-game description[]

"The next generation NSX that offers a new dimension of driving performance, with a combination of main engine and 3 additional electric motors."

Honda and Acura's world-famous 'NSX' sportscar was sold from 1990 without ever undergoing a full model change in its lifetime. Its manufacture ended in 2005 as tighter fuel and emission regulations made it difficult for production to continue.

There were numerous rumours of a successor over the years, but factors such as the worldwide financial crisis delayed the official announcement of its return, until the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), held in January 2012.

The announced NSX Concept is powered by a hybrid system combining a midship-mounted, next-generation V6 VTEC engine with an electric motor to drive the rear wheels. In addition, there are two more electric motors, one built into each of the front wheels, along with a torque vectoring mechanism that adjusts torque distribution to the left and right. The cornering feel experienced by the driver through this system can be expected to be exceptional. This system, in which 3 motors are used in addition to the engine to drive the 4 wheels, was named the Sports Hybrid SH-AWD, where SH stands for Super Handling.

At the NAIAS of the following year, the second NSX Concept was announced. The shape of the front grille, wheel design, and the overall dimensions were changed to a smoother, bolder style more suited for actual driving.

The interior of the car was also shown for the first time. The consoles separating the left and right seats were set high, allowing the driver to focus on driving, and carbon materials are utilised to create a sporty and high-quality cockpit.

Together with the May 2013 announcement of Honda's return to F1 racing, the concept model gathered a lot of attention at the show.
