The Hyundai Genesis Gr.3 is a race car produced by Hyundai, based on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.

Liveries[]

Two liveries are available for this car:

  • Variation (#20 Hyundai Mobis, GT7 only)
  • #67 Hyundai Motorsport (unlisted in-game)

Description[]

"The Genesis Coupe served as the foundation for this Gran Turismo-exclusive Gr.3 race car. And what a well-balanced machine that it is, because the car already possessed many race car attributes. The most notable thing about the original was the handling, which was both stable and predictable. Its long wheelbase allowed for a spacious interior, while its profile provided excellent downforce at high speed."
―In-game description of the car, from GT7's Brand Central

The car shares the same description as the base Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13, stating at the bottom that it is specially tuned for Gr.3 regulations by Gran Turismo.

Acquisition[]

Gran Turismo 7 Hyundai Brand Central 450,000 Sign a contract with Hyundai for the Manufacturers Cup

Trivia[]

  • The default livery on this car and its Gr.B counterpart is based on Hyundai Motorsport's official livery, as used on the i20 WRC. Early versions of the car shown in early GT Sport screenshots featured Shell decals, but were later replaced with MAC Tools decals.
  • Both this and its Gr.B counterpart features different rim colors on the front and the rear, which will be lost if the wheels are painted, as the game requires all wheels to have the same color when painted.
  • An alternate livery of this car in GT7 is based on the one seen on the 2020 Hyundai i20 WRC.

Notes[]

  1. As GT Sport's servers has been shut down on January 31, 2024, and as the last Manufacturer Series race in GT Sport was held on December 25, 2021, it is no longer possible to obtain the car this way.
