Italian Nationals is a race series in Gran Turismo 2, specifically for Italian cars, set on the streets of Rome. Just like the French Nationals, it only has two races, with under 197BHP and 295BHP power limitations. In the first race, the player will face Italian city cars and hatchbacks, while in the second race, the player will face high-performance saloons and hot-hatches.

Trivia[]
- Due to a programming error, if selecting the race preview (camera button) on the Italian Nationals Rome Short Course race, it will instead enter the player to the event (assuming the car meets the horsepower limit), as if you had pressed "Go". This only applies in the early American and Japanese versions of the game. Later American and Japanese versions, as well as the PAL version are not affected by this bug.
