Pre-race dialogue[]

Race Driver Quote Notes
Tokyo Expressway - South Counterclockwise T. Yamanaka "Guess what? I just got a new Supra! You know, I used to cheer for them all the time, so I'm glad they've brought them back. By the way, one of the interesting things about this track is that the car park is sometimes used as a pit area!"
R. Kokubun "Konnichiwa! My name's Ryota Kokubun. I like Mazdas, so I plan to compete in this RX-7. I think Mazda's designs are absolutely beautiful. Why did I start playing Gran Turismo? Well, my dad got me into it—he's been playing it since the first game!"
I. Fraga I grew up in Japan, so I love Japanese manufacturers. This time I'll race in my new Toyota 86! This track features a number of hairpin turns that will require you to brake hard. I therefore recommend that you tune your car so that the brakes pack as much stopping power as possible. You can't turn when fully applying the brakes, so be sure to brake in a straight line, then ease off when turning."
Fuji International Speedway A. Suswillo "Hello, my name's Adam Suswillo. It's a pleasure to meet you! I've been a Nissan fan ever since I took part in the 2013 GT Academy. Today I'll be racing in a Nissan Z car. It's important to tune your car so that your engine is as powerful as possible. But that's not enough by itself—you also need to change your tyres, upgrade your brakes... It's all about striking the right balance!"
R. Derrouiche "As a fan of the comic book Initial D, and having been born on August 6th... I see it as an honour to race in this AE86. It feels like destiny! One of the most fascinating things about the AE86 is its lightweight body. Lighter cars tend to be better at cornering, braking and acceleration!"
M. Simmons "I've always been crazy about GT-Rs. The R32, the R33, the R34—all of it! And now I finally get to race in a R33!"
Autopolis International Racing Course V. Gallo "Ciao! I'm Valerio Gallo. I was the 2021 Gran Turismo World Tour champion. I'll be racing in an NSX—don't you just love its solid, aggressive styling? It's really important that you remain aware of what's going on around you when the race really heats up. Your MFD will give you a good idea of the position of the cars that are lined up next to you. It's a good way of making sure you don't crash into any of them!"
P. Lenoir "Bonjour! My name's Pierre Lenoir, and I've come all the way from France to race. I've been a big fan of the Nissan Z car ever since I competed in the GT Academy. It sure is a beauty! Tuning your car to get the most out of it is crucial. I also like to customise my cars' appearance. In fact, I'm kind of obsessed with it!"
I. Fraga "I'm the instructor for the International B Licence. Getting your International B Licence is well worth it—you'll learn all sorts of useful skills for upcoming races."
Spa 24h Layout R. Kokubun "Spa has long full-throttle sections, so cars are set up to produce less downforce and higher top speeds." This is one of the featured races for the Spa 24h Layout, added to the game alongside it.
T. Yamanaka "It seems there are seceral thermal springs located near the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. It'd be nice to drop in to unwind after a tough race, wouldn't it?"
Grand Valley - South V. Gallo "I'm Valerio Gallo, the 2021 champion from Italy. The 'driving resort' beyond the pit is a really fun place. There's a restaurant and café, and even a hotel and campground—I love it! Seems like there are a lot of campers visiting today." This is one of the featured races for Grand Valley, added to the game alongside it.
R. Kokubun "I'm Ryota Kokubun, from Japan. The oceanside route is great, to be sure, but I also like the southern route. A mountain road with a series of hairpin turns, it is a joy to drive."
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca K. Mizuno "I'm Mizuno Koki, from Japan! I'm really excited to be riding in this car today! It's not just any Lancer Evolution IX, but the 'MR' version—the 'Mitsubishi Racing' model! Fitted with a turbocharger, upgraded suspension, and a plethora of aerodynamic parts... It offers better acceleration and cornering performance than its base model. Once you get behind the wheel, you can tell straight away just how special it is." This is the featured race for the Lancer Evo IX, added to the game alongside it.
Alsace - Village S. Nabetani "I'm Soki Nabetani, from Japan. Today I'll be driving the AFEELA Prototype 2024. This prototype was unveiled in January 2024 at CES®, the world's largest tech trade show. Needless to say, I am super excited to be able to take it for a spin!" This is the featured race for the Afeela Prototype, added to the game alongside it.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to v1.44, this event was limited to Road Cars. Rayan Derrouiche has appeared in this event driving the Shuichi Shigeno version of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 since launch, which is classified as 'Professionally Tuned', meaning that his presence broke the rule until this update.
    • A similar issue also occurs to Adam Suswillo's Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera in the Asia-Oceania Championship, where his presence also broke that rule, since that car is also classified in-game as a 'Professionally Tuned' car. But unlike with this event, this issue was not fixed for that event in any of the updates.
