Jeep is an automobile marque from the United States, now owned by Dutch conglomerate Stellantis, which also owns Lancia and Fiat/Abarth. It is based in Toledo, Ohio, and specializes in SUVs and off-road vehicles.
In lowercase, the term "jeep" continues to be used as a generic term for vehicles inspired by the original Willys Jeep that are suitable for use on rough terrain. The name may either originate from a shortened version of "GP" (general purpose), and possibly to an extent, Eugene the Jeep from the Popeye cartoons.
Jeep first appears in Gran Turismo 7.
