The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 '15 is a race car produced by Lamborghini. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.

The car represented in the game is based on the Huracán GT3 entered by Grasser Racing Team in the Pro Cup class of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series, more specifically the #63, driven by Mirko Bortolotti, Giovanni Venturini, and Adrian Zaugg, who achieved a 12th place finish at the end of the season.

An alternate livery of the car featured in GT7 is based on the #63 Emil Frey Racing livery from the 2020 season of the International GT Open, although the livery in question is based on a later version of the car, the Huracán GT3 Evo (not featured in the game).

Liveries[]

In-game description[]

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is the race version of the Huracán that was released as a successor to the Gallardo in 2014. It was developed according to FIA-GT3 specifications as the name implies, and was revealed for the first time in January 2015.

The development of the Gallardo was handled by Reiter Engineering, but the Huracán GT3 is developed by Squadra Corse, the internal competition department of Lamborghini. Italian race constructor Dallara engineered the materials and aerodynamic of the body.

The hybrid chassis made from aluminium and carbon is the same as the road car, but the body itself is much wider. Aerodynamic effects are improved using a low front spoiler and splitter, adjustable rear wing and large rear diffuser, in addition to the vents and louvres added on various parts to discharge and improve air flow. This has also had a side effect of giving the car a much more aggressive appearance than the road car.

The engine is also the same 5.2L V10 as in the road car, but the ECU is changed to a Bosch unit to make it more suited for actual operation in competition. The gearbox is changed from a 7-speed DCT to a 6-speed sequential, and to match the regulations the drivetrain is modified from an all-wheel drive to be a rear-wheel-drive. There are also 10 level settings for the traction control system and ABS.

The Huracán achieved a debut victory at the opening round of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series, but in addition to that win, they also achieved pole position in 3 rounds out of 5, and continued to show stable and fast performance throughout the series.

Dealership (GT7)[]

The FIA Group GT3 series is one of the most popular forms of racing around the world. And usually in the spotlight these days is the Huracán GT3, simply because its fast and really nice to look at. Development of the car was undertaken by Lamborghini's motorsports department called Squadra Corse. Under the car's hood is a 5.2-liter specifically tuned for the race track. A 6-speed sequential gearbox transfers power to the rear wheels.

Café (GT7)[]

Jeremy[]

You know, for many years, Lamborghini were never really involved in motorsports as a manufacturer. But that all changed when they developed an FIA-GT3 car based on the Huracán in 2015. Finally they had sent one of their cars onto the circuit! It made its debut at the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series... And it left the other cars in the dust, finishing first with a 30 second gap between it and the next car. Lamborghini were disqualified at one point for a rule infringement relating to their refuelling equipment. But they successfully appealed and ended up claiming a debut victory.

Trivia[]

GT7 Manufacturers Cup variation livery error

The segment from the GT7 Manufacturers Cup intro video; note the incorrectly colored liveries on the Huracan, AMG GT3, and the Viper.

  • Despite being based on the Blancpain car, the default Grasser Racing Team livery uses Gran Turismo windshield stickers (equivalent to Black type in Livery Editor and number boxes (equivalent to Type 2, as used in fictional race cars in the game).
  • The car's #63 Grasser Racing Team livery in GT Sport has a logo for Sisal Matchpoint, an Italian company operating in the gambling and betting industry. Presumably due to licensing issues or laws against gambling advertising in certain countries, said logo was removed from the car in GT7.
  • In GT7 Manufacturers Cup intro, the car incorrectly appears with Grasser Racing Team decals, but with the blue base color used by the Emil Frey Racing variation livery.
