Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Toyota, appearing in every mainline game since Gran Turismo 2, although it did not have its own dealership until Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.

In late 2017 to late 2019, Toyota disallowed a majority of non-Japanese game developers from including Toyota production cars. Polyphony Digital, being a Japanese game developer, was not restricted by this decision, and so their games still included Toyota vehicles. This also affected the vehicles from Lexus and Scion marque (if included) as they were also not included in non-Japanese made games during this period.
This ended when Forza Horizon 4 marked their official return to the series after Horizon 3 since late 2019, with the Toyota SUPRA RZ '97 being the first entrant to appear in the aforementioned game alongside other lineups, including Lexus, in subsequent updates.
The Subaru BRZ (if included) was the only car not affected as it is a rebadged Toyota GT86 with a number of differences.
In the FIAGTC/GTWS competition, Lexus is the inaugural winner of the FIAGTC/GTWS Manufacturers Series/Cup championship in 2018 and 2024, doing so with the same car (Lexus RC F GT3 '17) and across different games each time.
Lexus's Gr.3 car, the RC F GT3, was also used to represent Suzuki at the 2019 Manufacturer's Exhibition race (held as part of the Tokyo portion of that year's FIAGTC World Tour, coinciding with that year's Tokyo Motor Show), as Suzuki at the time did not yet have a Gr.3 car.
