In-Game Description[]

"A special super car that embodies the tradition and passion of Maserati."

The MC20 is a mid-engine supercar introduced by Maserati in 2020. The Italian company is widely known for its elegant and masterfully constructed high-performance GT cars. The MC20 is the first mid-engine model in the company's road car lineup since the discontinuation of the MC12 in 2005.

With its scissor-type doors, the body is elegant and clean. It's seemingly devoid of aggressive aerodynamic add-ons, such as a large rear wing or radical front splitter, but that is because this car doesn't need them. Developed by race-car constructor Dallara, this Maserati body underwent rigorous wind-tunnel testing from the beginning, so the use of overt downforce-induing[sic] parts was not necessary.

At its foundation is a carbon monocoque that apparently weighs as little as 220 lbs. Keeping the car lightweight was a priority for Maserati, and their engineers were able to keep the curb weight down to less than 3307 lbs.

The newly developed twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine features the first F1-style pre-chamber combustion system used in a production car. It produces 621.3 HP and 730 Nm (538.9 ft-lb) torque. Combined with an 8-speed DCT transmission, the MC20 can accelerate from 0 to 62.1 mph in under 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 201.9 mph.

Brand Central (GT7)[]

Every gearhead knows that Maserati was founded specifically to build race cars. Released in 2020, the MC20 is a genuine mid-engine sports car that carries on this noble tradition. Its twin-turbo V6 engine features an F1-derived pre-chamber combustion system! Not only does it offer a smooth ride on city streets, but it can hold its own on any race track.

The Maserati MC20 is a mid-engine sports car from 2020. It name combines the words 'Maserati' and 'Corse,' meaning 'race,' along with its release year. You can think of it as a successor to the MC12, that legend built to compete at the 2004 FIA GT Championship. Since its founding in the early-20th century, Maserati has been known for race cars. From F1 machines like the 250F to sports cars like the A6GCS, there is literally no end to its achievements. Now, while Maserati hasn't been racing much these days... This MC20-based machine marks its glorious return to the track!
