In-game description[]
"An elegant fastback with a revolutionary combustion system."
This Mazda3 represents the fourth-generation model of Mazda's C-segment passenger car first released in November 2018. Back then, it was called the Axela in Japan, but with this model, it went by the moniker "Mazda3" all around the world.
Like its predecessor, this Mazda3 came in both fastback and sedan versions, but thanks to the company's "Kodo" design language, the character of the car became more refined. The shape of the fastback was especially impressive, with the delicate form of the body panels beautifully expressing the subtle transition of light.
Powering the car was a new SKYACTIV engine. The base Mazda3 models came with a 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter direct injection gasoline engines. There was a 1.8-liter turbo diesel powerplant and a 2.0-liter "Mild-Hybrid" (M-Hybrid) version that came a little later. The M-Hybrid was powered by the SKYACTIV-X engine that introduced proprietary spark-controlled compression ignition, a revolutionary technology that suppressed carbon emissions without relying on expensive solutions like the Urea-SCR.
The X Burgundy Selection was a special model with a burgundy interior on the Grade X model. Equipped with wine-colored leather seats and dashboard, this special model exuded a classy, uniquely mature aura.
Brand Central[]
This Mazda3 fastback is especially prized for its beautiful design. In Japan, it has long been referred to as the 'Axela.' But ever since the debut of this 4th-gen model in 2018, it has been known around the world as the 'Mazda3.' Distinguished by its phenomenal styling, which is informed by Mazda's 'Kodo' design language, this hatchback model, with its beautiful roof line is advertised as a 'fastback' in some markets.[1] In 2020, it won World Car Design of the Year title, an award for international car design.

If you're looking for a stylish hatchback, you can't go wrong with the Mazda3. The Mazda3 come in two body types: a 5-door hatchback and a 4-door sedan. That said, the fact that they have so few shared parts is proof of their purposeful design. Take the smooth roof line of the hatchback—it's so beautiful that Mazda went and marketed it as a 'fastback.' What's more, this Mazda3 fastback comes in a 'burgundy selection' grade! From the seats to the interior panels, everything in this grade is done up in a most distinctive shade of red.
