In-game Description[]

"Modern Mazdas are known for their elegant designs, and this CX-30 is no exception. Take a moment to admire its profile—the way the light dances across its sculpted lines. Stunning, isn't it? But the CX-30 is far more than a pretty face. Beneath that sleek exterior lies Mazda's innovative SKYACTIV-X engine. Capable of burning a very lean air-fuel mixture at high pressure, it stands as a next-generation engine—clean and efficient. The X Smart Edition enhances the SKYACTIV-X base package with a variety of driver-assist features. Balancing control and comfort the CX-30 possess the heart of a sports car wrapped in a crossover SUV body."

Car Index (GT7)[]

During the global sport utility vehicle (SUV) boom of the 2010s, Mazda introduced the CX-3 and CX-5, although a notable gap in size existed between the two. The CX-30 was conceived to bridge that divide, offering a well-balanced compact crossover SUV.

Measuring 173.0 inches from front to rear, 70.7 inches in width, and standing 60.6 inches high, the CX-30's exterior was relatively compact while showcasing Mazda's signature "KODO Design" philosophy. The signature wing on the front fascia seamlessly linked the grille to the headlights, while the undulations along the body's side panels artfully reflected shifting light.

Under the hood was a choice of three powertrains: the 2.0-liter gasoline direct-injection SKYACTIV-G, the 1.8-liter direct-injection diesel SKYACTIV-D, or the 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-X, which employed a groundbreaking Spark-Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI) system.

The CX-30 X Smart Edition, shown here, was introduced in 2021, based on the SKYACTIV-X model. This model grade emphasized comprehensive driver assistance features as standard, including the Active Driving Display, which projects key information onto the windshield, and the Smart Brake Support automatic emergency braking system. Also, the introduction of this model coincided with refinements to the SKYACTIV-X system, with automatic transmission models receiving enhanced throttle pedal resistance that improved driving response.

Combining versatile dimensions with a dynamic driving character, the CX-30 stands out as an appealing option in Mazda's lineup.

Trivia[]

  • An e-SKYACTIV X badge is present on the rear, indicating that the in-game model features mild hybrid functionality. As mild hybrid systems are often disputed whether they are true hybrid cars or not, it has no Hybrid Car tag.
  • Installing a custom rear wing in GT Auto will remove its rear window privacy tint.
  • In the Livery Editor, the license plate is part of the Body 2 layer, similar to the Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi '68.
