In-game Description[]

This description is taken from the PAL version of Gran Turismo 2:

The Roadster A-Spec model was created[1] by Mazdaspeed, based on the Mazda Roadster that made its second-generation debut in January 1998. This model was completed by adopting the "touring kit A-Spec[2]" intended for use on public roads, as opposed to the "sports kit" designed specifically for racing. It has truly boosted the enjoyment of driving the Mazda Roadster one rank higher. First, the power unit has been lightly tuned, centering on the intake and exhaust system, providing a major increase in the light feel and exhilaration of the drive. The biggest difference is felt with its suspension. The vehicle height adjustment suspension kit has a fortified stabiliser and bushings built in, and extracts the maximum potential of the Roadster. It does not have the in-the-rough feel that tuned cars tend to have, but it truly increases increases the exhilaration and boosts the performance limit, and is a top-notch system that fully keeps up with road surface changes. There is an obvious decrease in position shifting when cornering, providing a professional feel. Also, by adopting a two-way mechanical LSD, the effect comes more direct. This enables a Roadster sports driving experience in the next dimension.
