McLaren is a British motorsports manufacturer which is featured in the Gran Turismo series. It made its GT debut as a standalone manufacturer in Gran Turismo 5, having featured as part-creators of the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 in Gran Turismo 4. In Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, McLaren's 1988 and 1990 Formula One cars are the basis for the fictional F688/S (as well as the car's PAL counterpart, the Polyphony002) and the Polyphony F090/S, respectively.

- In GT3, an incomplete body for Mika Hakkinen's McLaren MP4/13 can be found in the game's data files. The car features uncensored sponsorship logos for West cigarettes, except the corresponding text on the sidepods have been altered to read "Test" instead, referring to the use of the car model for testing purposes.[1]
- Although the MP4/4 does not appear in GT6 and would later appear in GT7, Ayrton Senna's 1988 driver suit is available in the game.
- Due to undisclosed reasons, it is not possible to obtain paint chips related to this manufacturer's cars in the PS3 era games.
