The unused McLaren MP4/13 body as it appears in GT3.
In GT3, an incomplete body for Mika Hakkinen's McLaren MP4/13 can be found in the game's data files. The car features uncensored sponsorship logos for West cigarettes, except the corresponding text on the sidepods have been altered to read "Test" instead, referring to the use of the car model for testing purposes.[1]
Although the MP4/4 does not appear in GT6 and would later appear in GT7, Ayrton Senna's 1988 driver suit is available in the game.
Due to undisclosed reasons, it is not possible to obtain paint chips related to this manufacturer's cars in the PS3 era games.
Every McLaren that has been added to the series has continued to appear in every subsequent game afterwards; that is, no McLaren has missed a game following its introduction, and every McLaren that appeared in GT6 was re-added during GT Sport's lifetime. Among manufacturers who appeared in the series prior to the GT Sport roster reset, only Maserati shares this trait.
