Mercedes-Benz introduced an AMG version of the fourth-generation C-Class a year after the base model as introduced in 2014. And although it wore the same C63 badge as its predecessor, the 2015 AMG C63 featured an all-new powerplant. Gone was the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8, replaced with by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 known as the M177, which used the same basic configuration as the M178 in the AMG GT.
The new C63 delivered 469.4 HP and 479.5 ft-lb in base form, and the C63 S provided a whopping 502 HP and 516.4 ft-lb. While horsepower was the same as the AMG GT models, the C63 engine featured better torque delivery that came lower in the rpm spectrum. Because of this, the C63 behaved in a smooth, civil manner on public roads. Only after the sedan and station wagon body styles were introduced did Mercedes-Benz offer the C63 and C63 S as a coupé in 2016.

I love compact sports models from Germany. They all have wide tyres, twice as wide as Japanese compact cars. Those wide tyres are among the most significant components of this car. They give the car its personality. And the resulting wide stance makes the car look stable, as well as possessing performance. They distinguish the base C coupé from the AMG version for those who have keen eyes.
