The Mercedes-AMG GT3 '16 is a race car produced by Mercedes-Benz. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.
It appears to be the #29, driven by Christian Vietoris, Marco Seefried, Christian Hohenadel, and Renger Van der Zande, who finished the 2016 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2nd place overall. This is reflected on the name it had in GT Sport, Mercedes-AMG GT3 (AMG-Team HTP-Motorsport) '16.
An alternate default livery featured in GT7 is based on the #4 Black Falcon livery that raced in the 2019 Blancpain GT Series.

In-game description[]
Car Index (GT7)[]
The AMG-GT3 is a racing machine of Mercedes-Benz, revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The car is based on the AMG GT road car, and would replace the SLS AMG GT3 that had been active in racing around the world since 2011.
The machine, developed in line with the FIA-GT3 regulations, sports wide front and rear fenders and other impressive aerodynamic parts. There is a low front splitter, 2 large canard wings on both left and right sides of the bumper, a rear wing carried over from the SLS AMG GT3 which reaches to roof height, and the rear diffuser which is much bigger than the previous GT3. With the special vertical latticed front grille, it emanates a sense of presence that is completely different from the road car.
The engine has been converted from the 4 liter twin turbo V8 of the road car to the naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V8 that has a well established track record in the SLS AMG GT3. This is mounted in the aluminum spaceframe. The body is one size smaller than the SLS AMG GT3, with the weight held down below 1,300 kg. With a shorter wheel base, it also has an advantage in terms of agility.
The car debuted in 2016 in various GT3 categories around the world. At the Nürburgring 24 hour race, it dominated 1st to 4th place in its very first year of competition.
HTP Motorsport of Germany is one of the top teams running the AMG GT3, and is always in the top group in the Blancpain GT series. They won the Budapest and Silverstone rounds in 2016, as well as having finished 2nd place overall in the Nürburgring 24 hour race.
Brand Central (GT7)[]
The AMG GT3 is an FIA GT3 class race car that succeeded the SLS GT3. First unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the car came equipped with a powerful AMG-tuned naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V-8. In competition since 2016, it's still active in GT races around the world, which serves as a testament to its longevity.
Café (GT7)[]
Jeremy[]
The AMG GT3 is renowned for its reliable strength at FIA GT3 races around the world. it is doubtless the star player among GT3 machines. In 2016, when the second-generation AMG GT3 was handed over to private teams... It showed off its strength and speed, dominating the top positions at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring[1] in its debut year. Also, while road-going AMG GTs were powered by a 4L twin-turbo V8... This was not always the case with their racing counterparts. For the SLS AMG GT3 was the first to be equipped with a race-tested 6.3L naturally-aspirated model.

Trivia[]

The segment from the GT7 Manufacturers Cup intro video; note the incorrectly colored liveries on the Huracan, AMG GT3, and the Viper.
- Even though the HTP-Motorsport logo in the interior will disappear if a custom livery is applied, it is possible to see it reflected on the windshield when in interior view.
- In GT7's Manufacturers Cup intro, as well in the Racing Etiquette video, it incorrectly appears with HTP-Motorsport decals, but with the blue base color used by the Black Falcon variation livery.
