The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is a subcompact car produced by Mercedes-Benz serving as the entry-level vehicle of the brand. The first A-Class, codenamed internally as the W168, was released in 1997. It would be followed generations codemamed the W169, W176 and W177, which were introduced in 2004, 2012 and 2018 respectively. The A-Class has also been described as the Baby Benz.
The A-Class first appeared in Gran Turismo 2, and has appeared in every mainline Gran Turismo game since, with the exception of Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.
