Trivia[]
- The car, even down to its specs are almost identical to the Racing Series variant, the only known differences of which are the livery, swan-neck wing, front spoiler and the new custom wheels.
- Like all versions of the models before it, it lacks an interior view despite it being a relatively new Vision Gran Turismo car (based off of an existing one with minor modifications, in this case, compared to the Racing Series variant).
- The car features the number #44, which is the same as Lewis Hamilton's signature number on his F1 cars.
- Because it is a reward car only obtainable through the Lewis Hamilton Time Trial Challenge, this makes it the only car in Gran Turismo Sport that requires a paid DLC purchase (as all other cars have been released via free updates, save for the Toyota GR Supra (Nürburgring '19 Livery) that can only be obtained for those who answered a survey).
- Additionally, both the aforementioned cars and the Nissan GT-R Safety Car can only be obtained once per save.
- The car was originally going to be featured in Gran Turismo 7, but doesn't appear for unknown reasons, where the Racing Series is featured instead, despite Lewis Hamilton reprising his role as the game's "maestro".
- This makes it one of four GT Sport cars not to reappear in Gran Turismo 7, the others being Fittipaldi EF7, Mercedes-AMG F1 W08 and Audi R18 TDI (Le Mans 2011).
