The 1886 Mercedes-Benz Daimler Motor Carriage is regarded as the first car in the world. With less than one horsepower, four wheels, the appearance of a stagecoach, a midship grandfather clock engine, and speeds of less than 20 mph, this internal combustion carriage is regarded less impressive than the later automobiles.

This machine only appears in Gran Turismo 4.

Performance

The car's performance is lacking; a quarter-mile time of 1'35.874, only 700 rpm, a top speed of 11 mph (when you hit the limit, it decreases to 8). The driving physics are more balanced for a vintage automobile to compensate for its lack of performance, as it can handle corners very well.
