In-game description[]
The E55 AMG is a high performance vehicle produced by AMG using the third generation E Class W211 as its base.
In the previous generation, based on the W210 E-Class, the E55 AMG was loaded with a 5.5L naturally-aspirated V8 SOHC. In this model, however, the E55 AMG is loaded with the same engine paired with a supercharger. Although it uses the same engine as the previous SL55 AMG, the maximum output for the E55 has been lowered by about 5%.
Nevertheless, the maximum power output stands at 469 BHP @ 6100 rpm, with a maximum torque of 71.4kg @ 2650-4000 rpm. When accelerating at full throttle, the massive amount of power makes the tires burn out even when shifting into second and third gear. Its outrageous 0.25 BHP/kg power to weight ratio allows it pass other top class sports cars if they are unwary.
The immense power of the E55 is delivered through its unique transmission, the AMG Speedshift. This 5-speed AT gearbox is provided with a button shifter on the steering, and changes its gears automatically according to driving conditions.
AMG tuned the same Airmatic DC suspension used in the normal E Class, so that it can handle the overwhelming power. It is also provided with immense stopping power, with the brake pads of the large callipers having roughly twice the surface area of the standard E500, and equipped with large diameter ventilated discs in the rear as well.
Even with these kind of enhancements the E55 is well-suited for everyday driving. The comfort that you experience while driving this vehicle completely changes the existing image of AMG's. This outrageous monster saloon allows one to exceed 150mph with safety and ease.

- Although the description states the E 55 AMG uses a 5.5-litre engine, that is incorrect. The supercharged AMG version of the E-Class used a 5.4-litre variant of the M113, while the non-AMG models used a 5.5.
