I'm Tephra, the new Fandom Wiki Manager for the Gran Turismo Wiki. I am here to help the community and be your liaison to Fandom. If you need anything, feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I'm told you're one of our best contributors, and I've stumbled across your channel on YT. Top quality stuff! Rick here also says you have a number of brilliant ideas, and it just so happens we're coming up with a new Spec, so we'd like to raise you to admin so you can contribute more effectively and be part of the team as we work on Spec 4.0. However, that would require you to join Discord for communication purposes. It makes things a lot faster.
We do hope you reconsider, I hate to have one bad experience ruin the idea for you. I also don't expect you to be any sort of expert in coding, or layout design and the like, I've just noticed that you are definitely one of the most dedicated users on the site, and your recent additions of lap videos and descriptions have been awesome contributions to the wiki.
You can always message us back with any questions or feedback you have, and if you do decide to join us on Discord in the future, we'd be more than thrilled to have you with us mate!
I did have an idea, but there are quite a few roadblocks that kind of put a stop to it... but I have come up with an alternative.
See, I was thinking that what we could do now that we have a GT Wiki Discord is announce and host events in GT Sport; and I come up with a lot of good race ideas all the time when I'm playing the game. So that in itself would be a good reason for me to join Discord...
But there are two problems: the first is that right now I don't have PSN account, so I can't enter the lobby - much less host an event. But thta's just an easy fix... the REAL problem is that my Internet doesn't seem to like Gran Turismo Sport; the two are hardly compatible with each other after the first few races, and then it just stops loading stuff, effectively soft-locking me until I quit the game.
So yeah, my idea falls into a hole and therefore makes my plan to join Discord redundent. I mean, what's the point of annuoncing an event if you can't host it?
BUT I came up with an alternative solution.
I can still suggest ideas for race events, but those of you who are on Discord can be the ones to announce and host the event on the server. At least this way my idea stays alive at the expense of me not having any direct involvement. (But hey, what can you do?)
So what do you think, guys? You like this idea?
You'll have to run it by with Formula Racer as well, of course.
It sounds pretty good, but we'll have to see who can host. All of us either have school or a job, though it would be worth seeing if we could get people to actually participate in online events (we haven't had much luck in the past).
I agree, though as someone who doesn't own Sport I can't volunteer nor participate. I know there have been attempts to organise online races in the past, though with the variation in time zones and work/school schedules it's tough to get everyone on together.
Why not join up and share your ideas with the group regardless? Even if there's no guarantee that your ideas can be implemented online, I'm sure there are several users who would like to test them out on a personal level, and/or provide some feedback
As most of you know, I've been getting in-game photos of the liveries used by AI racers in GT League mode of Gran Turismo Sport.
Unfortunately, some events I am unable to enter into due to RIDICULOUS vehicle admission prices. I'm trying to save up for one of the classic race vehicles so I can race in the Nosalgic 1979 and purcahse a Miura...
So, for those who are able to, could someone please get in-game photos of the liveries used by AI drivers in the aforementioned Nostalgic 1979 event and the X2014 Nations Cup event for me?
You would be doing me and the Wiki a huge service!
At least for me there should be no problem on taking in-game photos of the liveries used by the AI on these two events.
Just a few minutes ago I took pictures of the AI liveries used in the X2014 Nations Cup. If you want, I will post them. Later on I will also take pictures of the Nostalgic 1979 AI liveries (I should have no problem entering the event, as I have one of the cars allowed in that event).
Northern isle speedway was based on Bristol Speedway, Bristol was 0.533 miles long, conversion will get the most accurate distane of NI Speedway, Im sorry about revising your articles but the information needs to be as accurate as possible.
I only made that image as a template and was going to improve it until i was satisfied, i had only done a quick mockup. I appreciate the fact that i am not the only one making track image and id like to thank you for the contribution.
P.S. the image you uploaded is broken and needs to be fixed.
Yes, but the thing is, the Inner Loop is basically the track in reverse. Same for the Central circuit. It would therefore be pointless to do another article JUST for the Inner Loop circuits versus compiling the Outer and Inner Loops together. That is why I suggested that the two are merged together into one article.
For instance, we don't have articles dedicated specifically to the reverse directions of the classic circuits; why should this be any different?
However, if you do not agree with me at all, then I will edit the article to suit.
I was saying that YOU shouldn't be surprised if it happens.
I won't be.
Anyway, I say we change topic...
I've recorded footage of me doing the Circuit Experience 1 lap time attacks for some of the new circuits. Do you want me to upload them and add them to their respective pages? (I do them in Gold time with all driving assists turned off, in case you're wondering.)
Discussion of any aspect of the site, and inquiries, can be made at the Forum or in the comments section associated with each article. Please sign and date your contributions there, so that readers know "who to talk to" and whether your message is probably still of current interest.
But that's not all. Here at Gran Turismo Wiki, we've got trophies! Trophies are our way of thanking you for helping out around the wiki. When you fulfill a certain goal, such as editing a page for the first time, you earn a trophy badge and some trophy points. The first time you score trophy points, you show up on the leaderboard, so if you want, you can compete against your friends to take the top spot on the leaderboard!
Have a good day, and we hope to see you around the wiki! @sysop
