Trivia[]
- The theme music for the Mitsubishi dealership in the NTSC-J version of GT1 would be subsequently remixed for GT2 as the West City theme of Gran Turismo Mode.
- From GT4 onwards, some Mitsubishi cars contains excessive spacing, usually between the model name and trim details, in the car's long name (each car has two forms of names, short and long).
- In early versions of Gran Turismo Sport, Mitsubishi Motors still uses its original logo, despite changing its wordmark font in late 2017. This was updated in Version 1.57, where Mitsubishi's logo was quietly changed to feature the updated wordmark, although the Livery Editor decals were not yet updated; the decals were later added in Version 1.59 along with updated Mazda logo decals.
- A number of prop vehicles around the tracks in PS3-era games resemble Mitsubishi vehicles:
- A Mitsubishi Diamante can be seen as a trackside prop in GT5P, GT5, and GT6, with said prop having two colors, black (GT5P-GT6) and blue (GT5 onwards).
- Starting with GT5, this trackside prop (alongside the GTO scenery prop) had changes on the rear, while the GTO had changes on the front as well, like with most scenery cars in High Speed Ring from GT5P, both of the changes on said props are still present in GT6.
- In GT5 onwards, two new scenery cars appeared, such as a road-going Mitsubishi Pajero, a Mitsubishi Lancer Wagon, and a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter (also appears in GT4 and GTPSP, only seen on the Trial Mountain Circuit).
- The Pajero scenery car is also the only GT5-era scenery car to have a second color unlike all the other GT5-era scenery cars, as they only have one color. This is only true on Toscana in GT5 and GT6; in the same location the Mitsubishi Lancer Wagon is replaced by a Subaru Liberty seen exclusively on that track and still is in GT6.
- A Mitsubishi Diamante can be seen as a trackside prop in GT5P, GT5, and GT6, with said prop having two colors, black (GT5P-GT6) and blue (GT5 onwards).
