The Mitsubishi FTO LM Race Car is a race car produced by Mitsubishi. It only appears in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, being replaced with the Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car in Gran Turismo 4 and onwards. This car is the successor of the Mitsubishi FTO LM Edition, a car appeared in the first two games of the Gran Turismo series.

Performance[]

The FTO LM Race Car is considered one of the best of the dream cars with good speed, handling and long lasting tire durability, a slight con is the cars default set up due to its 4WD drivetrain which can affect the handling of the car, however if set up right, it can be a valuable car to use in both Amateur and Professional dream car races and potentially other race events.

  • The livery of this car is very similar to its predecessor, except for more sponsors and for the addition of new colors and also driver numbers.
  • The car features Omega Boost sponsorship on the sides, which is a reference from the PS1 game developed by Polyphony Digital. The same logo can also be found on the FTO Super Touring Car in later games.
  • Originally, the FTO LM Race Car was going to appear in Gran Turismo 4, as seen in this 3D Motors TV broadcast of an early-to-mid-December 2004 Japanese Gran Turismo 4 preview demo. However, it was completely removed shortly before final release, being replaced with its successor.
