In-game description[]
This description is taken from the original Gran Turismo:
This GTO appeared in 1990 as Mitsubishi's first genuine sports car for many years, with styling owing much to Mitsubishi's characteristic individuality. Its internal mechanics was packed with their advanced technology of the time, featuring full-time 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering, and electronically controlled suspension. It was also a hi-tech model incorporating an active aerodynamics system that use the car's speed to control the front and rear spoilers. There is a choice of two front horizontally-mounted engines, a 3.0-litre V6 DOHC twin-turbo 6G72 and its NA version. The turbo generates 280 PS and 42.5 kgm against the 225 PS and 28.0 kgm of the NA. The 4-wheel drive system is the simple centre differential viscous LSD structure. With a weight of 1,710 kg the drive feels ponderous, and it is certainly a car more suited to highway cruising than winding roads.
