In-game description[]
"Possessing a stoic straight line body; the 6th generation Bluebird continuing the bloodline of the 510."
The sixth-generation Bluebird, the Type 910, arrived in 1979, sporting a bulky body, large windows and a straightforward face characterized by a simple grille. It had big shoes to fill because it predecessor, the 510, was a phenomenal worldwide hit for Nissan, and people's expectations were high.
Nissan went back to basics when developing this car. The styling was more straightforward, as were the mechanicals. It came as a 4-door sedan or a 2-door coupe. The engine was an updated version of the Type Z that came available in three variants; 1600, 1800 and 2000, with all models being inline-4. In each one's case, power was sent to the rear wheels.
Despite the car's larger dimensions, the new Bluebird was quite sporty. It featured a new rack-and-pinion steering system and fine-tuned independent suspension, with a semi-trailing arm setup at the rear of the SSS model. This combination gave the car excellent handling and driving feel. Also, the front brakes got ventilated discs, giving it excellent stopping power without much fade.
Sales of the 910 were a bit slow at first, but began picking up when new trim levels were added, such as the 1800 Turbo, which put out 133 HP. In its last year, the CA series powerplant was added as an alternative green engine.
