Pre-race dialogue[]
Race | Driver | Quote | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Dragon Trail - Gardens | A. Suswillo | "There are several drivers I know competing in this Nissan GT-R Cup. All of them are big fans of the GT-R! Do you have a favourite GT-R?" | |
Tokyo Expressway - East Clockwise | M. Simmons | "Lucas Ordóñez's victory at the 2008 GT Academy was a real inspiration for me. I can't believe he's going to be competing in this race! It's a real honour. He's been on the podium of Le Mans, and has experience of winning races in Super GT. He proved that drivers who'd come from Gran Turismo could cut it in real races." | |
Deep Forest Raceway | L. Ordóñez | "Hello! I'm Lucas Ordóñez. I won the inaugural GT Academy, in 2008. I really like the grip and power that the Nissan GT-R provides. Since I won the GT Academy, I've had the chance to race GT-Rs all over the world for the Nissan works team. I'll never forget when I drove a GT-R at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, or when I won in the Super GT!" | |
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A Reverse | T. Yamanaka | "I'm Tomoaki Yamanaka, from Japan. The Skyline GT-R NISMO I'm riding in today was a legendary limited-release for the Skyline series. The race car on which this GT-R is based debuted in the '90s for Japanese Group A races. I hear that over the course of four years, it had 29 consecutive wins and no losses!" | This is the featured race for the R32 GT-R Nismo, added to the game alongside it. |
T. Sasaki | "My name's Takuma Sasaki. I'm from Japan. This is the NISMO Skyline GT-R R32 that was specially-built to win races. It's equipped with a racing turbo charger and aerodynamic parts. Just 500 units were ever made, and I'm going to win with one of them!" | ||
Circuit de Sainte-Croix - A | M. Estevez | "I'm Mateo Estevez, and I was the Manufacturers Cup champion at the 2023 Gran Turismo World Finals. Today I'll be driving a Nissan GT-R Premium edition T-spec. The '2024' model, to be precise. Not only is it faster than the previous models, but it features a redesigned front mask and rear wing." | This is the featured race for the R35 GT-R T-spec, added to the game alongside it. |
Trivia[]
- Prior to update v1.44, despite meeting the requirements of being a Skyline GT-R, the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R '70 and Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R '73 were not permitted entry into this event.
- The Nissan GT-R Safety Car was also ineligible until v1.52.
- Oddly, all of the opponents in the race at Blue Moon Bay have been downgraded to stock cars, and are all Japanese drivers. This is currently the only event in the game where this has happened.
