The Nissan MOTUL AUTECH GT-R '16 is a Race car produced by Nissan. It first appears in Gran Turismo Sport, where it was introduced as part of Update 1.15.

The car appears to be the #1, driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli, who achieved a 3rd place finish in the GT500 Driver's Championship of the 2016 Super GT Season.

In-game description

Since 2008, Nissan has been competing in the GT500 Class of the Super GT Series with the R35 GT-R. Initially the car was powered by a 4.5L V8 VK45DE engine, and from 2010 a 3.4L V8 VRH34A/VRH34B. In 2014 this was changed to the turbocharged NR20A 2 litre inline 4 with direct injection, independently developed in the same format as Toyota and Honda.

For the new 2014 vehicle regulations, the weight and the centre of gravity for the monocoque had to be matched to that of the DTM machines, and they would share common parts for things like dampers and rear wings. Though there was no major change to the outside look, these unified regulations changed the inside of the GT500 spec GT-R significantly. And through minor changes of details and refinement, the car would continue to be developed up to the 2016 model.

The 4 Nissan teams competed with this GT-R, and in the 2014 season Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli led the Motul Autech GT-R to series champion. In the following year of 2015, they won again with the same team, winning both the Driver Championship and the Constructor Championship titles two years in a row. They ran the 2016 season again with the same team, and expectations were high for a third consecutive win after a win in both the opening and second rounds of the season, but ultimately they ended the season in 3rd place for both the Driver and Constructors championships.
