Description[]
This is an original tuned model created by "Gran Turismo", based on the Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) (2002).
The following is the description of the base model.
Tapped as the savior of the brand, the seventh-generation Silvia made its debut in January 1999 amidst the S14's struggle in the marketplace. Returning to basics, the S15 came with a more compact body, one more akin to the popular S13. This was Nissan's way of saying that the new Silvia wasn't intended to be luxurious, but very sports minded.
Under the hood was the same SR20 2.0-liter DOHC inline-4 that powered both the S13 and S14, only it was more refined than ever. The naturally-aspirated variants produced 163 HP and 141.7 ft-lb of torque while the turbocharged version pumped out 247 HP and 202.5 ft-lb of torque. The S15 was offered in two main trim levels; the naturally-aspirated Spec S and the turbocharged Spec R that boasted a power-to-weight ratio of 0.20 HP/kg.
Retaining key components of the S13 and S14 chassis, Nissan drastically increased body rigidity, which improved handling. The S15's also received a helical LSD.
To broaden the car's appeal even more, a convertible version of the Spec S, called the Varietta, was introduced in 2000. But this year also marked the beginning of the end for the Silvia because it wasn't able to meet Japan's exhaust emission standards for 2000. Production of the S15 stopped in August 2002

Trivia[]
- In addition to the car being renamed, the GT6 iteration of the car replaced the two Bridgestone stickers on the front bumper to just one.
- In GT7, further changes have been made to this car:
- In the PS3-era games, because the base model can accept dirt tires, this car can also be driven on dirt and snow tracks. However in GT7, the ability to install dirt tires was removed in GT7 in order to be consistent with the other Gr.4 cars. The dirt tire purchase removal also occurs for the Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) Touring Car (another previous race modified car) in the same game.
- The car's front fascia and rear bumper was updated from its previous appearances.
- In GT7, although it uses the standard (Type 2) number box as part of the car's default livery, the font used for the numbers are different.
- In GT7's GT Auto, the wing options available on the road car is also available on this car.
- If a custom livery has not been equipped, installing such rear wings will remove the two arrows for the trunk pins on the rear.
- Uniquely to Gr.4, this car has a functional horn (since version 1.17).
- This car is one of five Gr.4 cars to have an engine swap option available (since version 1.26), the others being the BMW M4 Gr.4 (since version 1.49), the Bugatti Veyron Gr.4, the Honda NSX Gr.4 (these two receiving engine swap options in version 1.46) and the Toyota 86 Gr.4 (since version 1.52).
- The VK45DE-GT-R engine swap is also currently the only engine swap for a Gr.4 car that keeps the racing engine fuel consumption.
