The Nissan SKYLINE GT-R 4door Tuned by Nismo is a road car produced by Nissan. As the name would suggest, this car is a tuned version of the Nissan SKYLINE GT-R 4door (R33) '97 (also known as the Nissan SKYLINE GT-R Autech Version 40th Anniversary '97) built by Nismo. It so far appeared only in Gran Turismo 2.

In-game description[]

This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:

The "Skyline GT-R 40th Anniversary Autech Version," developed in commemoration of the Skyline's 40th anniversary, is a four-door GT-R that attracted lots of attention at the Tokyo Motor Show. Although this car is indeed a four-door model, it is based on a two-door chassis, to which four-door pillars and roof supports were added. Newly designed rear door and fender parts were used with this modified chassis. The blister-shaped fenders were hand-made, in fact. The full name of this extremely tuned-up four-door GT-R-based model is the "GT-R Autech Version, tuned by Nismo." As the name says, this machine benefits from Nismo's tuning. The 400R's[1] front styling has been transplanted onto this model, and its other exterior features include a carbon fiber rear wing and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, the RB26DETT engine that is very heart of the high-performance GT-R has been given modified turbo, intercooler, high-performance cam, and CPU components to boost engine power up to 380 BHP. In addition, a large, oval-shaped muffler has also been added. Even though this car runs like the GT-R that it is, Nismo's added touches have turned it into one powerful four-door sedan. You could even say it is a 4-door version of the 400R.

Acquisition[]
