This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:
The Stagea debuted as Nissan's L class wagon in September 1996. While it has the convenience and comfort of a wagon, it also features a sporty driving experience. This should not be too surprising, as the Stagea was developed from the Skyline. Breeding shows, particularly in the RS Four V, which emphasizes sportiness and conceals high power output not typical of a wagon. The RS Four V has a RB25DET 2.5-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine that develops 276 maximum horsepower. There are two gearbox options, a 5-speed manual and an automatic that features manual shift control. As the name suggest, the RS Four V is an all-wheel drive vehicle, with a system that distributes optimum power to the front and rear wheels at all times. Its suspension uses a multilink design at both front and rear, similar to that of the Skyline. In August 1998, the Stagea RS Four V received a minor restyling, with foglamps in the grille, a new front bumper fascia, and other exterior and interior changes that increased its sport looks. The quest for a better driving experience, even in a wagon, is what is expected from Nissan.
