In-game description[]
This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:
The "Stagea Autech Version 260RS", Autech's wagon version of the GT-R, is based on Nissan's Stagea L-class wagon. It was released in October 1997, about one year after the Stagea's September 1996 debut. This wagon is undeniably a GT-R on the inside, with the same 2.6-liter inline 6-cylinder DOHC twin-turbocharged RB26DETT engine that is found in the GT-R. It is an all-wheel drive machine. This Stagea version also includes a wealth of high-performance modifications Nismo made on the 260RS base to create a very fast car. A larger muffler, headers, an intercooler, a heavy-duty clutch, and a limited-slip differential are only a few of the special parts found in the 260RS. The chassis is upgraded with special springs, shocks, and control arms. The popular LMGT2 aluminum wheels are used, in a larger, 18-inch size. New Nismo brake components are included. This is[1] a truly high-performance version of the 260RS. There is simply no other car that can rival this one as a sporty wagon.
