In-game description[]

The car that attracted the most attention at the Detroit Auto Show held at the start of 2001 was the Nissan Z Concept. It announced the image of the New Nissan to the world. The goal of the Z Concept is to allow Nissan to recapture the leading role it had held in the North American market in heyday of the Z. Expect a production car based on the Z Concept to be available in the near future for $30,000. The design exudes a sense of advancement, with the solid shapes combined with geometric lines suggestive of the Audi TT. But the details, such as the beautiful roof line and quarter windows, clearly bring to mind the looks of past generations of Zs. There are many breathtaking emotional touches. The overall impression of the interior has a "cyber" feel but there is a classic atmosphere in places. The seats have a unique shape with two-piece seat backs, with the headrest and shoulder support formed as a unit. The instrument panel features three gauge pods suggestive of the S30, with the tachometer and speedometer arranged independently on the sides of the T-spoke steering wheel. Being a two-seater, the rear is devoted entirely to luggage, with fat tower bars placed suggestive of the first-generation Z. The currently announced specs give the engine as the 3.5-liter V6 VQ35DE, achieving over 260 hp, and naturally it is rear-wheel drive. The transmission options available will be either an electronically-controlled 5-speed automatic (with manual shift mode) or a 6-speed manual. The suspension will be four-wheel independent but the details are unknown. However, there is no doubt that this will soon be a car that you can actually buy. It should make an appearance at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show in a further evolved shape closer to a production version.
