Northern Isle Speedway is a track currently featured only in Gran Turismo Sport. It will later appear in Gran Turismo 7. It is a half-mile, high-banked oval track, based on such tracks used by NASCAR such as Martinsville Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway, with differences in the banking angles.

According to the GT7 trailer, the track is located in California.

Mission Challenge[edit | edit source]

  • 1-2: Subaru WRX flat out battle
    • Race; Subaru WRX STi Type S '14
      • Attempt overtaking on an oval track! With high average speeds, even slight contact with the walls will incur a big time loss.
        • Gold: 1st
        • Silver: 2nd
        • Bronze: 3rd

Layout[edit | edit source]

The Northern Isle Speedway consists of 2 corners.  Both corners require you to turn in flat out, pass through the apex at partial throttle, and go flat out again at the exit. The exit of turn 2 is tighter than turn 1 and can send you into the wall if you're not careful. Time your acceleration well to avoid contact with the outer wall. Staying on the outside, however, will let you carry more speed on exit, but it is more difficult to master.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Due to the track's short length, it is the only track in Circuit Experience mode to have only one challenge: the one-lap time attack challenge, usually the final test in tracks with multiple sectors.
