The Pagani Zonda LM Race Car is a fictional race car produced by Pagani. It first appeared in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec and has been featured in all subsequent mainline games up to Gran Turismo 6.
In-game description[]
"This special Pagani Zonda model was developed by Gran Turismo for GT Racing."
The Pagani Zonda C12, a sports car developed by Italian automaker Pagani Automobili (helmed by Horacio Pagani), was unveiled in 1999. Appearing later was the C12S, a more powerful version of the C12 sporting a 7.3-liter AMG tuned engine. The racing version of the Zonda was developed on this car. While the carbon composite monocoque shell and tubular frames of the normal C12S were retained, body width was narrowed from 80.9 inches to 78.7 inches to comply with GT racing regulations, and curb weight was reduced from 1250 kg to 1150 kg.
Although the engine was the same 6.0-liter from the C12, it generated over 592 HP. The gearbox was changed to a 6-speed sequential unit, brakes were swapped out for Brembo 6-pot calipers on carbon ceramic discs, aerodynamic aids were added to the body on both the front and back, and a diffuser was even bolted to the rear end.
The car debuted at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2003. The result was a DNF (Did Not Finish) because of engine trouble. It then entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but was again unable to finish because of problems with the gearbox. Nevertheless, it drew considerable attention and popularity for its impressive specs and looks reminiscent of the Group C cars of the previous decade. The C12 remained in production through 2006.

Trivia[]
- The driver names on this car are shown to be Takahito Tejima and Yuji Yasuhara. These are the names of developers of some later Gran Turismo games. These names can also be found in the opening of GT3, because said game is also their first Gran Turismo game in which they have worked as developers.
- Despite displaying Italian flags on the driver names, both the mentioned names are instead Japanese. It is unknown if this is an oversight or a voluntary decision due to the car's nationality.
- Its description text refers to the Pagani Zonda GR, which is considered to be its real-life counterpart. However, the Zonda LM predated the Zonda GR, as it first appeared in GT3 in 2001.
- In GT4, the car has a listed model year of 2001, referencing to the car's first appearance.
- The engine sound used in GT3 was the same one used for its road-going counterparts; it would receive an overhauled engine sound in GT4.
