"少年は、コロッセオを目指す。 (The boy heads for the Colosseum.)"
―In-game description (NTSC-J version)
"Young man, head for Il Colosseo."
―In-game description (NTSC-U version)
Passage to Colosseo is an Endurance Race in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. It is a 2-hour race running around the Rome Circuit, passing through the famous Roman Coliseum.
Excluding the F688/S as well as the Polyphony002, the prize cars that can be earned in this event are all related to Italy in some form.
While the Lancia DELTA HF Integrale Rally Car and Pagani Zonda LM Race Car are cars produced by Italian companies, the Gillet Vertigo Race Car, despite built by a Belgian company, uses an Italian engine (as evidenced by the Alfa Romeo decals on the car).
Given the race's length, the race is in effect the successor to Millenium In Rome 2 Hours Endurance race from GT2, although the opponent car field is vastly different in both games.
