Piazza del Campo was going to be a karting track in Gran Turismo 5. However, It was removed for copyright infringement.

It was shown that Piazza del Campo was supposed to be the "Main Course" on the Gran Turismo Karting Experience in Special Events.
Trivia[]
- It was only shown twice. Once at Gamescom 2010, and again in a video titled "GT5 Karting Trailer". It was removed due to Polyphony Digital using the city's flags, location, and architecture without permission. The video was also pulled as soon as Sony Computer Entertainment was threatened with a lawsuit.
- The only cars seen driving on this track were the Fiat 500 F '68, the Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08 and the Gran Turismo PDI RACING KART 100.
