In-game descriptionEdit

"The high-performance model of the 3rd generation Barracuda."

The Plymouth Barracuda transformed into its 3rd generation model in the 1970 full model change, with a shorter, wider, more maneuverable body that enhanced its sports performance. The most notable, high-performance model of the lineup was named the "Cuda".

The standard engine of the Cuda was a 330 BHP 383 but there were many optional engines available, and it was even possible to select a 419 BHP 426 Street Hemi, which was basically a detuned NASCAR[1] engine. There was even a homologation model to enter the popular touring car race, the "SCCA Trans-Am Series", and this AAR Cuda was just that.

AAR stands for 'All American Racers', a race constructor that was participating in the F1GP at the time in an all in-house built racing machine. The AAR Cuda was a special model that was developed with AAR as a partner.

The 340 engine of the car was given a reinforced block and head with stronger materials, and was assembled with special building procedures. Lightweight parts like the FRP bonnet and FRP bumper, as well as front and rear spoilers came as standard equipment. In effect, parts that were restricted from being modified or replaced from stock in race regulations, came standard in the commercial car in a race-modified state.

The engine power is modest at 285 BHP, but it is rumoured to be higher than announced, and the lightweight small block made handling excellent, making this the most agile model in the series.

This car can be bought at the Plymouth dealership for 110,000 Credits. It has a detailed interior.
