In-game description[]
- "Introduced in 1964, the Pontiac GTO is considered one of the first American muscle cars. In a series by one-upmanship by various manufacturers, the GTO's performance was soon eclipsed the competition. In response, Pontiac created a new high-performance model called "The Judge." It came equipped with a powerful 6.6-liter V-8. It also boasted wide tires, a rear spoiler, and distinctive livery that gave the car an extremely powerful presence. Because of The Judge, the Pontiac GTO retained its rightful place at the top of the muscle-car heap."

Car Index (GT7)[]
The first-generation Pontiac GTO, which was introduced in 1964, was a big hit and is credited for the boom in street-legal muscle cars. The second-generation model followed in 1968 with a more stylish fastback style and decent performance. It wasn't enough to prevent the GTO from losing its king-of-the-hill status to its increasingly impressive rivals, however.
Keen to rectify this situation, in 1969, General Motors released a new GTO known as "The Judge." The standard sports package wore an exclusive logo and stripe decals, and powered by a 6.6-liter V-8 "Ram Air 3" engine that was said to be capable of more than the advertised 360.9 HP. It was mated to a Hurst shifter. The car had a heavy-duty suspension system, wide tires, and a rear spoiler. Despite all this, it only cost $332 more than the standard GTO. In terms of both performance and sheer presence, it outdid its rivals and attracted plenty of attention.
Muscle cars such as the GTO started to disappear when strict emissions regulations were introduced a couple of years later.
Café Conversations (GT7)[]
Ed Welburn[]
The Pontiac GTO was a king among American muscle cars, and the GTO 'The Judge' was the ultimate GTO. My favorite aspect of the 1969 GTO 'The Judge' was the beautifully sculpted body side and soft fender peaks. It's unfortunate that the rear bumper didn't get the same color treatment as that of the front bumper. Other than that, all this car needs are much larger wheels. They would make the design look more balanced and athletic.
