In-game description[]
Car Index (GT7)[]
The Porsche Carrera GT was a midship-engine super sportscar produced from 2003 to 2006, with a total production count of just 1270 cars.
The distinct difference of this car to other production Porsche models like the 911 series, is that it was a fully dedicated design with all the parts specifically designed just for this car.
Structurally, a carbon tub was joined together with a subframe which mounts the engine and suspension, and carbon body panels were mounted on top. Because all the forces applied to the car are designed to be absorbed by the chassis, it made it possible to make this model as a targa top. And because most of the body is made of light weight materials such as carbon, the vehicle is a mere 1,380 kg.
The engine was a 5.5 liter V10 which was rumored to have been developed for LMP endurance racing, respecced as a 5.7 liter to provide torque characteristics better suited for the street. The engine produces 603.5 BHP, with a maximum torque of 60.2 kgfm. It was given a 6-speed MT providing a 0-62.1 mph acceleration of 3.9 seconds, with an announced top speed of over 205 mph.
Brand Central (GT7)[]
When it comes to collectable Porsches, the Carrera GT is definitely high on everyone's list. It came equipped with a naturally aspirated V-10 powerplant mounted amidships... ...mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It looked the part, too, with a attractive body style that gave Ferraris a run for their money. If you're a Porsche fan then this car belongs in your garage.

Freeman Thomas[]
The Carrera GT is truly timeless. I believe it is a masterpiece of modern Porsche design! It's hard to believe that it's been around for so long! Stylistically, the Carrera GT was ahead of its time... And would serve as the DNA for future Porsche creations... Like the Boxster, Cayman, and, I would even add, the 918. It has a lot of innovative details... Such as the double-hump mesh rear screen with the stylized aero roll bars hovering above. I also love the rear diffuser with its integrated exhausts. Also inspiring is the interior with the central console bridge. However, if I were to make one criticism... It would have to be about its excessive length. This is accentuated by the horizontal lines... That connect the front fender outlet and rear fender inlet... Still, there are many clever details... For example, the center-lock wheels, and aerodynamic mirrors.

Trivia[]
- Unusually for a supercar, it is seen off-roading at Sardegna in the Brembo partnership trailer. However, in the final game, dirt tires cannot be purchased.
- However, its successor can be fitted with dirt and snow tires.
- Because of being an invite-only car, it cannot be purchased from the Used Car Dealership despite the model year. A similar trait also happens with the Enzo Ferrari '02.
