Car Index[]

Not many car makers in the world can compete with Radical Sportscars Ltd. when it comes to creating pure unbridled performance cars. Since 1997,[1] when the company was founded, Radical has been providing lightweight mid-engine race cars, powered by high-performance motorcycle engines, to the motorsports public. The vehicles were so popular that Radical began producing road-going versions that slightly resembled Le Mans prototype race cars.

The idea behind the road-going car was that anyone could drive it from his or her own home to the race track, then drive it back home, without the need for a trailer or car transporter. Of all the Radicals offered, the SR3 SL was the most gentlemanly. No major changes were made to its design principles and styling, but the car did come equipped with an automobile engine to meet the variety of emissions regulations around the world. The power unit was a Ford EcoBoost[2] direct-injection turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-4 that produced produced 236.6 HP in standard form, with an option to go up to 295.8 HP. The gearbox was a 6-speed sequential unit with paddle shifters.

The lightweight 775 kg (1,710 lb) car went from zero to 96 km/h in 3.4 seconds and topped out at 257 km/h. The SR3 SL came to a full stop from 96 km/h in just 2.67 seconds. The SR3 SL's performance was leaps and bounds beyond the norm, making it the quintessential road-going race car.

Café Conversations (GT7)[]

Kagurazaka[]

One of the roles design plays in industrial production is... To instantly convey information and an underlying message in a visual way that may not be noticed at first glance. That is, to project functional excellence, philosophy, tradition and intent, all in an instant. It's also supposed to draw the customer in, making them fall in love with the product. Therefore, when a product attempts to appeal to many people at once, it can look unoriginal. Put bluntly, design is usually dictated by the market. But in the case of the Radical, this is not the case. On mountain road or race track, all it needs to do is go fast. The headlight, for example, is simply required to shine a light forward. Although seemingly unapproachable, this car knows its role. It's a one-of-a-kind sidekick that requires a special love. Such cars make life entertaining, don't you think?
