The Renault Sport Clio R.S. 220 EDC Trophy '15 is a road car produced by Renault under the Renault Sport arm. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.

The fourth-generation Clio is a great example of the types of cars it produces. Providing the power of this compact is a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4 that produced 216 HP. The "Trophy" version was created as a special model specifically for race-track use. To see how fast the car was, the folks at Renault Sport took it to the Nürburgring. And guess what? The thing ended up setting a new lap record for compact hatchbacks!"

The Clio R.S. 220 EDC Trophy is the sports version of the 4th generation Clio developed by Renault Sport, the motorsports department of Renault. It was introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show as an even higher performance model than the R.S. 200 EDC. The name 'Trophy' is a special name given to extraordinary sports models that are suited for the track.
There are 2 major differences between the R.S. 220 EDC and the older R.S. 200 EDC. The car was given a different turbocharger, the intake and exhaust were tuned, and the ECU map was changed in order to increase the output of the 1.6-litre inline-4 turbo by 10% to 216 BHP; as is indicated in the digits of the car's name. The rev limit is also higher, raised from 6,500 rpm to 6,800 rpm. The maximum torque output is 26.5 kgfm, a 2.0 kgfm increase from the R.S. 200. The gearbox EDC has also received changes to the software, shortening the shifting speed by 50%. Even the stroke of the shift change paddles were made smaller by 30%.
The other major change was the implementation of a 'Chassis Trophy', giving the car a chassis that has the best sports setup in the series. The dampers and springs of the suspension were reinforced, a hydraulic bump stop was added, and the ride height is 20 mm lower in the front and 10 mm lower in the rear. The steering gear ratio was made quicker from 14.5 to 13.2.
The R.S. 220 EDC Trophy was taken on the Nürburgring Nordschleife by a German car magazine, and marked an incredible 8 minutes 23 seconds on the track. This was the fastest time ever for a car in the compact hatchback category at the time.
