The Saleen SR Widebody is a race car produced by Saleen, but is listed as a Ford vehicle in its only appearance in Gran Turismo 2.
The car appears to be the #55, driven by Ron Johnson and Terry Borcheller, who participated in the GTS class of the 1999 American Le Mans Series season. The car achieved a 7th place finish in the Driver's Championship, and a 3rd place finish in the Team's Championship.

Trivia[]
- A logo for TV sitcom Home Improvement, which ran on ABC from 1991-1999, can be seen on the car's hood, as it was one of the sponsors for the team.
- In the demo versions of the game, there were BASF logos on the car, before being replaced with Saleen ones on the final car. Additionally, it was assigned as the racing modification for the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra '99, with the aforementioned car receiving the 1997 version of the car as racing modification in the final game instead.
