Silverstone Circuit is a real world motor racing circuit which appeared in Gran Turismo 6, having debuted in the GT Academy 2013 demo release. It appears in its full Formula 1 Arena Grand Prix Circuit layout, as well as at least two shorter variants, the National and International Circuits. In the GT Academy 2013 demo, the full GP circuit forms the basis of the time-trial used for official qualification for the 2013 GT Academy programme.

The Stowe circuit is available in the full game.

A lap around the circuit[]

The circuit begins at the new pit straight in the southern circuit, after which comes a right-hand corner (Abbey) and a loose left-hand corner (Farm Curve) leading to a series of switchback hairpins (Village and the Loop) leading to the northern circuit via Aintree, going down the Wellington Straight in the process. After the straight comes Brooklands, a very loose but technical left-hand corner before going to the Luffield hairpin and Woodcote.

After Woodcote is the old pit straight in the northern circuit, with a right-hand corner (Copse) containing gravel on the outside to punish mistakes. The circuit then goes to a series of high-speed corners (Maggots, Becketts, and Chapel) before returning to the southern circuit going down the Hangar Straight. A 90-degree right hand corner (Stowe) must be taken with caution as the runoff area will punish mistakes before leading to Vale and Club and back to the new pit straight, completing the lap.
