Special Events in Gran Turismo 4, referred to as Special Conditions in-game, are a series of challenging rally and tarmac events that test a player's skill and focus. Similarly to previous games, they are housed in a separate area than the other main career races, and feature three difficulty levels; Easy, Normal, and Hard.
Below are events that appear in this section. Dirt events, as the name suggest, require Dirt Tyres to be installed, snow events require Snow Tyres, and the tarmac events can be raced with regular Road Tyres. Events are raced once in the forwards direction, and once in reverse (the only event this does not apply to is Tsukuba Wet Race, which can only be raced forwards). Once the two races are completed, the player is awarded a prize car. An A-License is required for the Easy events, an iB-License is required for Normal, and an iA-License is needed for Hard.
In GTPSP's files, the event flyer's logos from the Special Events in GT4 were leftovers from that game thus being unused in GTPSP, they can still be found in GTPSP's files.[1]
