Spot Race menu (PAL Version)
Spot Race is one of the five sections within the Go Race area of GT Mode in the original Gran Turismo. There are five single race events in which the player can participate, on five different tracks.
These are very short events, used mainly to test newly acquired vehicles or tuning setups. They award no prize cars, can be entered one at a time as opposed to a championship format, and are not required for 100% completion.

Trivia[]
- In the international versions of the game, because the opponents of this race are based on Arcade Mode's per-class opponents, it is possible to have the Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray (C2) '67 (in Trial Mountain only) and Mazda Roadster 1.8 RS (NB) '98 (at Autumn Ring Mini and Deep Forest) appear as opponents in Spot Races; both are otherwise only playable in Arcade Mode.
