In-game Description[]
This description is taken from the PAL version of Gran Turismo 2:
The Pleo made its debut from Subaru in response to the revision of standards for light vehicles implemented in October 1998. This car has a well-packaged body much like a 5-door mini-van, and is designed for ease of use. The main characteristic of this car is its extremely abundant line-up. The loaded engine is a 4-cylinder for the entire line-up, despite being a light car. The sports-grade RM has SOHC, and the RS has a DOHC engine with a supercharger, producing a maximum of output of 64ps/6000rpm, and a maximum torque of 10.1kgm/3200rpm. In addition to the 5-speed MT transmission, there are two-type of CVT, the world's first electronically-controlled transmission. The RM and RS are designed for a more sporty feel, and have an i-CVT with 7 speeds and a manual mode. The RM has two types of drive methods, the FF and 4WD, while the RS has only the FF. The suspension of the RM and RS both use an L-shaped lower arm strut system on the front, and a dual link strut system on the rear. Both use 13-inch ventilated disc brakes on the front. On the rear, the RM uses leading/trailing brakes, and the RM uses disc brakes. The various combinations of engines and transmissions, and the combination of FF and 4WD drive methods, expand this line-up into a total of 13 models. The interior is very creative with panorama seats and a lifting rear seat, adding the final touches to make this an extremely comfortable car.

Trivia[]
- Despite having a 7-speed gearbox, in automatic shifting mode the Pleo does not have enough power to reach the redline in fourth gear.
