In-game description[]

"Suzuki’s long-selling Kei car that made a comeback in the 21st century."

In the autumn of 2006, an old name had returned to the Suzuki K-car lineup. The Cervo, that had ceased production in 1998, had made a comeback. The new Cervo had a monoform style, and while it had many useful features, it was made as a fun casual car with an active design and driving characteristics.

In its initial debut, it was given a normally aspirated engine, and a mild turbo model focusing on driveability in low to mid speed ranges. All cars were 4-speed automatic.

The Cervo SR with the sportier powertrain made its appearance in October of 2007. Its main appeal was its combination of a direct-injection turbo engine with a CVT, a first ever in a Japanese car. Using the CVT that can be shifted manually across 7 speeds, you can enjoy a sporty drive where you change gear aggressively, or you can let its combination with the direct-injection turbo do all the work. The sporty yet high quality exterior and interior succeeded in achieving the Premium Sporty Compact concept raised by the Cervo SR. The combination of the CVT and turbo worked well, and though it is a high output engine with 63 BHP, it achieves a top level fuel economy in its class at 4.3 L/100km[1].

The Cervo provides more than sufficient power performance as a K-car, and combines this with comfort, quick acceleration thanks to the 7 speed CVT, and high build quality. With excellent fuel economy thrown in, the Cervo SR was praised as the ultimate in its[2] class.

Notes[]

  1. In Gran Turismo 5, the fuel economy of this car was erroneously reported as "999.0 l/100km". This error was corrected in Gran Turismo 6, where the fuel economy is now reported as "4.3 L/100km"
  2. Misspelt as "it's" in the game. This misspelling was corrected in Gran Turismo 6
